With the recession still afloat, money is scarce. People are trying to look stylish, but at a reasonable price. With that, bargain hunting is the new shopping trend. Thrift stores are a major source of good buys and penny-pinching steals. But with every good side, there is a bad; So here are the pros and cons of shopping at thrift stores.

PROS:
Thrifts stores were made for people ready to save money. Thrift stores are extremely cost worthy; especially when you find high-end items for under ten dollars.  Most products are in great condition, and just need to be washed or tailored to fit properly. Also, thrift stores have a huge variety of things from which to choose. If it’s clothes, you can find anywhere from classic blazers to eccentric dresses. Thrift store shopping is helpful for people, but not for everyone.

CONS:
Thrift stores can be very messy and disorganized. There is so much stuff, it makes it intimidating and hard to find things. It’s really easy to find things you like, but hard to find them in your size. Thrift stores also may have crowds, which can wear on your shopping experience. Also, products might be a little damaged, and it’s difficult to realize the small holes and missing buttons. Lastly, Thrift store don’t always have return and exchange policies so make sure you love what you buy.

Thrift store shopping is a major way to save money; but you need time and patience to find fabolous deals.
