There are no doubt countless Social Networking sites in existence and even more statuses being updated while you read this. For most, 140 characters or less might be okay, but HSK would like to invite you to think outside the “statusphere” and contribute. We are currently looking for students with an interest in contributing to our up and coming community. This is not just a great opportunity to share your voice the way you’ve always intended but it’s a chance to engage with students from around the world. At HSK we believe in creating a platform where news, opinions, current events, cultural trends, personal “kronicles” and social networking seamlessly unite to voice the expectations of a new generation.

We are seeking Bloggers/Writers from the age of 15-25 to become Contributing Editors in categories ranging from Politics, World Issues, the Arts, Technology, Design, Fashion, Entertainment and Sports.

How to Contribute:

1) Contributors must meet the following qualifications:
• Strong grammar, composition, and verbal skills.
• Journalism coursework and/or extensive English/writing.
• Multimedia experience.
• Ability to conduct online research and compile information for news and feature stories.
• Self-reliant work ethic with ability to work independently.
• Online technology experience and computer content editing skills

2)  An initial sample of writing or multimedia work must be submitted to info@highskoolkronicles.com for review. Or you may include a link to any works published online.

3)  The HSK editorial staff reviews all submissions for selection and publication.  Should your submission not meet the criteria for publication, you will receive feedback and have the opportunity to re-submit your work.

4) Once you are accepted as a contributor, you will receive instructions for posting articles directly to HSK.

5) We welcome a variety of submissions from news and feature articles to poetry, fictional writing, photography and video.
