If I had read this article about two months ago, I would have totally agreed and supported a ban of the veil. I use to see it as a way of men making women inferior to them. But why should we impose our western customs on others?
Yes, it does seem to us that women are doing this because they have to, which in some cases may be true, but what about the others who DO wear it as a form of identity and nationalism, supporting their country and their religion? They should not be banned from something they build their lives upon. I think people around the world have to realize what works for one country may not work for another. We would ban catholics from wearing a cross or rosary in the U.S. and if we did, there would be protest and so many people prisoned for fighting what they believed in.

In a sense I understand how Americans can see it is a negative thing, but we never take the time to look at others perspective, taking away our Western way of thinking and looking at theirs.

It's true that people gain strength depending on the situation they're in. I see it as a moment when your body connects at the same time and focuses.

Great, and very true.
I luckily am one of the people that isnt ashamed to have Spice Girl's on my ringtone, while jamming to Atmosphere in the car.
You like what you like, whats the problem with that!
Good to hear someone say it aloud!
