Women in the Forefront

“Behind every good man, there is a great woman.” As long as I can remember I have been told this exact statement, but it seems that things are changing. Women are no longer “behind” their men; rather they are stepping out into the forefront gaining more recognition for their accomplishments. If you have ever flipped through the news channels, chances are you might have caught a glimpse of two people who have drastically changed the game plan for women: Hillary Clinton and Nancy Grace.

More than Just a Gift

All over the world women are being raped as we speak. The country of Congo is home to numerous rape victims. Eighty percent of those rapes being committed are done by men who are part of the militia and/or armed forces. Soldiers walk around the streets of Congo during the night looking for their next victim. It is hard for women to get any sleep when they have to worry about keeping themselves safe as well as their family.
